I completed my Master's Degree in Counseling at Oakland University. I have over 13 years of experience in the field of psychotherapy. My specialties include treatment for Relationship Issues, Life Transitions, Depression, Anxiety, and Addiction. In my practice, I see children ( ages 12+), adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Most of us encounter times in our life when we experience difficulties. Counseling helps in these times so that we do not have to face these challenges alone. Taking the first step toward making some healthy changes in your life by sharing with a trained, objective counselor can be one of best first steps you will ever take.
My goal is to provide a safe and confidential atmosphere where clients can explore, grow, and experience healing change. I am privileged to work alongside my clients and witness significant changes occur in their lives. At times, talk therapy alone does not facilitate enough change, therefore, I incorporate Experiential Therapy as well. Experiential therapy is a creative process that includes talking, art, music, metaphors and psychodrama. We "experience" hurts in our lives, therefore it is important in the therapeutic process to "experience" healing in our growth journey.
I am also a certified Internal Family Systems Therapist. This model is a non-pathologizing, client-led approach that allows my clients the much needed space to tap into their own curiosity and inner wisdom.
In addition to working at my private practice in Rochester, Michigan, I work at Onsite workshops in Cumberland Furnace, TN. Onsite offers intensive therapeutic workshops.
